Adam Golebiewski is an experimental drummer, composer and musicologist, he holds PhD in intermedia arts. Golebiewski uses drums and self-made objects to explore the basic characteristics of sound: volume, timbre, register and time, as well as their relationship to the performer’s body. In addition to performance, he creates sound installations, site-specific works, and audio-based performance pieces that investigate the interplay between sound, space, and their social context. He has performed and recorded with many artists, such as Yoko Ono, Thurston Moore, Kevin Drumm, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Mats Gustafsson, Ken Vandermark, John Edwards, Sharif Sehnaoui, Mazen Kerbaj, Pierre Jodlowski, Reinhold Friedl among many others. He is visiting Japan to play with duo KAKUHAN (Koshiro Hino and Yuki Nakagawa) at Unsound Festival in Osaka.
